Summer is just around the corner. In the Northern Hemisphere, the weather gets warmer, days get longer, and clothes get lighter… Parks full of people eating ice cream, barbeques set up in every backyard, vacation plans finalized, and graduates celebrating never having to study again…
For many, this is the most relaxing time of the year. For many, this is also the time of the year when studies are not thought about. More precisely, studying is the very last thing many people want to do over the summer.
Yet, I’m going to start a series of posts covering study possibilities for the upcoming summer.
Because I believe this is the perfect time to improve our soft skills, people skills, etc.. Especially after such a difficult spring, we can concentrate on mindfulness, creativity, innovation, and problem solving. These might not be topics you had anticipated from this blog. However, these are skills that are more and more talked about in business magazines and podcasts, on job ads, and even taught in MBA programs. They are sought after in the competitive job market. I feel that these topics will keep your brain active in the summer without overloading it. At the same time, you will prepare yourself for a possibly extraordinary fall. In any case, you will prepare yourself for the quickly and constantly evolving working life.
